'Paper Modelling on stands'

 In groups we were shown a demonstration of paper modelling on a stand (mannequin).

The aim of this exercise was to understand the relationship of translating a 2d design into a 3Dimensional garment. The process is shown and explained below.

1. Using dot & cross we wrapped the mannequin and pinned it in place.

2.We then started to fit the paper as closely as we could to the bodice using sellotape. We began by taping around the top, waist and bottom of the bodice and in a figure of eight around the bust to give more definition.
